Lab-grown Diamonds, Explained

A lab-grown diamond is a real diamond. It is made of the same carbon, arranged in the same crystal structure, with the same hardness and fire as a diamond from the ground. It simply forms in a controlled environment instead of deep underground.

Lab-grown vs mined

  • Chemically and physically the same.
  • Look the same to the eye and under a jeweller's loupe.
  • No mining required.
  • More diamond for the same budget.

The 4Cs

  • Carat: the stone's weight.
  • Colour: graded D to Z; we use colourless EF grades.
  • Clarity: how clean the stone is; we use VVS to VS.
  • Cut: how well the stone returns light.

Certified where it counts

Certified pieces come with an IGI certificate. Each product page lists the stone count, total carat weight and quality, and the price breakup shows the stone value on its own line.
