BIS hallmarking
The Bureau of Indian Standards (BIS) hallmark is India's official certification of precious metal purity. Every Shimora piece is hallmarked, so the metal is independently tested and marked.
What the mark shows
- The BIS logo.
- The purity grade of the metal.
- A six-character HUID (hallmark unique ID) for that individual piece.
Your HUID
The HUID belongs to the physical piece, not the design, so it is printed on your invoice when your order is packed. You can verify any HUID using the BIS CARE app.
IGI certification
Lab-grown diamonds in certified pieces come with an IGI (International Gemological Institute) certificate that records the stone's carat, colour and clarity. When a piece is certified, its certificate number is shown on the product page.
