What is demi-fine jewellery?

Jewellery made with real precious metals, priced between fashion jewellery and traditional fine jewellery. Shimora uses 925 sterling silver, gold vermeil and solid 9KT gold, so every piece is real and made to last.

Is Shimora jewellery hallmarked?

Yes. Every piece is BIS hallmarked, which means its metal purity is independently tested. Your invoice carries the HUID (hallmark unique ID) for the exact piece you receive.

What is the difference between gold vermeil and 9KT gold?

Gold vermeil is a layer of gold over 925 sterling silver. 9KT gold is solid gold all the way through, 37.5 percent pure gold alloyed for strength. 9KT is the more durable choice for pieces you never take off.

Are lab-grown diamonds real diamonds?

Yes. Lab-grown diamonds have the same chemical makeup, hardness and sparkle as mined diamonds. The difference is where they form. Certified Shimora pieces come with an IGI certificate, and the number is shown on the product page.

What is the price breakup?

Every product page shows exactly what makes up the price: the metal value, the making charge, the stone value and GST. Open Price breakup under the Add to cart button to see it for the metal and size you choose.

Is shipping free?

Yes. Shipping is free and insured on every order across India. We dispatch within 3 working days; metros usually receive orders 2 to 4 working days after dispatch, the rest of India in 4 to 7.

Can I return or exchange a piece?

Yes. Unused pieces can be returned free within 7 days of delivery, with the original tag, packaging, invoice and any certificate. Engraved, personalised and made-to-order pieces, and anything altered by another jeweller, cannot be returned. Email contact@shimora.in with your order number to start.

How do I find my ring size?

Use our Size Guide. Wrap a strip of paper around the base of your finger, mark where it meets, and match the length to the circumference in our Indian ring size chart. If you are between sizes, go up.

Can I wear Shimora jewellery every day?

That is what it is made for. Take it off for swimming, the gym and cleaning, keep it away from perfume and lotion, and it will stay bright for years. Our Care page has the details.
