An ear stack looks effortless when it follows a simple rhythm. You do not need many piercings to start. Two or three is enough.
Start at the lobe
Your first piercing is the anchor. Choose your boldest piece here: a chunky huggie or a small hoop. It sets the tone for everything above it.
Go smaller as you go up
Second piercing, something smaller: a slim huggie or a lab-grown diamond stud. Third, smaller again: a tiny stud or a petal. Sizing down creates a natural line that draws the eye upwards.
Repeat one element
Mixing metals works when each metal appears at least twice. Two gold pieces and one silver feels intentional. One of each can feel accidental.
Add one moment of sparkle
One lab-grown diamond piece lifts the whole stack. More than one, and they compete with each other.
Keep the other ear quieter
Asymmetry is the point. A fuller stack on one side and a single stud on the other looks modern and balanced.
Our starter stack
- Lobe: Chunky Dome Huggies
- Second: Mini Hoop Huggies
- Third: Petal Studs
All of them are made to sleep in, so you can build your stack once and leave it.
